We talk like the friend who always knows where to go. Short, direct, a little cheeky, never hyped. Dutch first, English always alongside, and never a literal translation.

Four principles

  1. 01

    Direct

    Say what's on, where and when. Facts before feelings. No 'unforgettable experiences'.

  2. 02

    Warm

    'You', never 'users'. We are in the crowd, not on the stage.

  3. 03

    Loud when it counts

    Caps and Unbounded for one line per screen. The rest stays calm so that line lands.

  4. 04

    All genres, no snobbery

    Hardcore and house get the same tone. We don't rank scenes.

House rules

  • No emoji in the interface. Only as a reaction in chat.
  • No dashes between clauses. A comma, a full stop or a colon does the same job.
  • No superlatives: not 'the best', 'ultimate' or 'unforgettable'.
  • The name is PartyPPL, one word, with PPL in capitals.
  • Numbers only when they are right: from the agenda, never estimated.
  • English is a text of its own, not a word-for-word translation.
